Anyone reading these lines may feel particularly moved and drawn to the name “Rosicrucians.” This is no coincidence; rather, it means that one has reached a certain level of maturity in one’s spiritual development. The soul has heard a call that can no longer be ignored. It is a message from the spiritual world. Whoever faithfully follows this call embarks on a path on which the treasure chest of the Rosicrucians’ millennia-old wisdom will open for them.
In modern times, A.M.O.R.C. guards this treasure for those who are ready to receive it. It is the path to “Know Thyself,” which is, in fact, humanity’s true and highest value and destiny. It is a traditional path of training and initiation that is timeless and yet, especially today, once again “highly relevant.”
The precise “guide” to this hidden treasure is revealed in the three publications with which the Rosicrucians introduced themselves to the public in the 17th century:
Fama Fraternitatis (1614)
Confessio Fraternitatis (1615) and
The Chemical Wedding (1616)
If one does not allow oneself to be discouraged by the text, which at first appears very mysterious and cryptic, one receives support from the well-developed and proven teaching system of A.M.O.R.C. Furthermore, one receives even deeper instruction through contact and guidance from within (the Rosicrucians call it the “Inner Master”). When one learns to perceive his quiet, unmistakable voice, one feels the joyful inner certainty that one is on the right path home. Back to where one came from: as an eternal spiritual being who has incarnated in the physical world to learn more and develop holistically.
This also means making one’s unique contribution to the spiritual evolution of all creation. The form this takes will become clear as one patiently, tirelessly, and confidently continues the inner work. In doing so, one cannot avoid dedicating oneself to the intensive decoding of the hidden wisdom in the three manifestos mentioned above.
This wisdom lies hidden behind parables and an encryption in a secret language that was used in their writings by educated Europeans at the time to protect themselves from persecution by the Orthodox Church and the ruling circles of that era. The encryption was carried out using gematria (the Jewish numerological system), Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism), alchemy, Christian mysticism, and the keys of the Tarot system.
For people today, engaging with these systems is a tremendous intellectual challenge. Yet it is also the most rewarding work a person can dedicate himself to in their current incarnation.
All these systems are signposts for spiritual development, the return journey, and reunification with the divine Source, the Origin.
The promise from the “Confessio” for the spiritually developed person, connected to God and endowed with “Christ consciousness”:
Certainty of eternal life
Clarity of vision (opening of the Third Eye)
Wisdom
Health
Prosperity
Freedom
Inner and outer peace
The “Confessio” concludes with the words:“Even we, though we might make the whole world rich and learned and deliver it from countless miseries, may never be revealed or made known to any human being without (!) God’s special providence…that he will rather lose his life in seeking and searching than find us and thus attain and come to the desired happiness of the Fraternity of the Rose Cross.”
